The diameter of the ball is 1.24". The 1.25" round is cut to 1.3" length and the 0.77" deep hole is drilled to 1/2" then bored to 0.58"; the bottom of the hole was flattened with a 1/2" end mill (optional). The hole was drilled through with a #3 and tapped 1/4-28.
